A murdered mother once worshipped her god
spread the word in the lion’s den at risk of being clawed
believing wicked words of an unholy bible
weaponised by a power-drunk masculine tribal

But when the time came to protect his disciple
her god turned out to be no more than an idle idol

Alas there is no devil to accuse or frame
nor a god to hold accountable or blame

And in the end the one that took her life
is a man who vowed before god to protect his wife
